8 Years of Running, 3 Years of Blogging, and a Break That Was Way Too Long

I’m still not back to my regular running schedule, but I’m slowly moving forward (in more ways than one). As you can see, I ran the Teal Diva 5K and finished with a terrible time, even accounting for bad weather conditions and a tougher course than last year. But I do have my next race on the calendar.

I’ll write a bit more later about the unplanned break, and of course finish recaps for the Charleston Half, the Elizabeth 8K, which went better than I expected, and, yes, the Teal Diva 5K, which…the only good thing I can say is that we raised a bunch of money for ovarian cancer research. (That, and my nephews were there. They’re the best, and they don’t care that Uncle P.J. ran a crappy race.) I’m not sure what I want to do about my missing weekly wrap-ups, but I’ll figure something out to sort of document the time since, uh, February 17.

But I just wanted to check in since today is two anniversaries. Running and blogging haven’t always been easy, and haven’t always gone the way I wanted. But both have produced some moments that I’m proud of, and I want to keep both going.
